Terms of service.
Last updated 27 October 2026. These terms apply to every project with One17 Digital Solutions.
[01]About these terms
These terms apply to all work One17 Digital Solutions ("One17", "we", "us") does for you ("the client"). By accepting a quote or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.
One17 Digital Solutions provides software development, website design and build, and IT consulting services. We are based in Denham Court, NSW, Australia.
If a quote and these terms conflict, the quote wins for that project.
[02]Services and quotes
Every project starts with a written quote. It sets out the scope, deliverables, price, payment schedule and estimated timeline.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.
- Work outside the quoted scope is extra and will be quoted or billed separately before we start it.
- Timelines are estimates. They depend on you supplying content, feedback and approvals on time.
[03]Fees, deposits and payment
The payment schedule for each project is set out in its quote. This may be a deposit plus a final balance, or staged milestone payments.
- Work begins once the deposit (if any) has been received.
- Invoices are due within 7 days unless the quote says otherwise.
- Final deliverables, files and access are handed over once all invoices are paid.
- We may pause work on a project while any invoice is more than 14 days overdue.
- Payments can be made by the methods offered on our invoice or payment link, including card, digital wallets, buy now pay later, and bank transfer methods.
- Prices are in Australian dollars. One17 Digital Solutions is not currently registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
[04]Cancellations and refunds
Your deposit is fully refundable if you cancel before work starts. Once work has started, the deposit is non-refundable.
- "Work starts" means the date we begin work on your project, as confirmed by us in writing (email is fine).
- To cancel, email us in writing.
- If you cancel after work starts, you pay for work completed up to the cancellation date, beyond what the deposit covers.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 08).
[05]Revisions and changes
Each project includes 2 rounds of revisions on the agreed deliverables.
- A round is one consolidated set of feedback, sent together.
- Extra rounds, or changes to the agreed scope, are charged at our standard hourly rate or quoted separately.
- Fixing bugs or errors in our own work is not counted as a revision.
[06]Client responsibilities
You agree to:
- Supply content, logins, feedback and approvals when needed. Delays on your side can move the timeline.
- Make sure anything you give us (text, images, logos, data) is yours to use or properly licensed.
- Have one main contact who can make decisions on the project.
- Keep your own backups of your data and content.
[07]Intellectual property
You own the final deliverables once you have paid all amounts owing for the project. Until then, One17 Digital Solutions owns them.
- Third-party items (fonts, stock images, plugins, open-source code, hosting platforms) stay under their own licences. You may need to pay for or renew these yourself.
- We keep ownership of our general tools, code libraries and know-how, and give you a lasting licence to use any that are built into your project.
- We may show the finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.
[08]Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
[09]Liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Our total liability for any project is limited to the fees you paid for that project.
- We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption.
- We are not responsible for outages or changes caused by third-party services, such as hosting, payment providers or plugins.
[10]Confidentiality
We keep your business information, logins and data confidential. We only use them to deliver your project, unless the law requires otherwise.
[11]Ending a project
Either party can end a project by written notice if the other seriously breaches these terms and does not fix it within 14 days. You pay for work completed up to the end date.
[12]Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
